Timeline & Targets Update
It has been an interesting, challenging and rewarding 9 months since we returned from the ship. In this time we’ve reconnected with church, friends and family, had a vision trip to Austria, learnt some German, helped out in interim roles with OM in South Africa, requested and collected a stack of documents (so many documents!), and finally submitted the residency permit applications to move to Linz and take up our roles with OM in Austria.
Hopefully this is will be one of the last ‘in-between’ updates, and we’ll soon be able to start sharing our own stories of God challenging and transforming His followers in Austria to engage more deeply and vibrantly in His mission for the world.
1.5 months to go…???
While we had always hoped to be in Austria by September, believe we are now on track to join the OM team in Austria before the end of October. However, there are a few key things that we need:
(Full) Financial Partnership
We have reached 80% and are so incredibly grateful for all the financial partners that are making it possible for us to care for, coach and encourage Christians in Austria to more fully engage in God’s mission for the world.
We still need approximately R15300/€900 in monthly financial partnership. This could be:
- 10 more partners giving R1530/€90 a month,
- 20 partners giving R765/€45 a month,
- 30 partners giving R510/€30 a month.
But any amount, no matter how big or small, will go a long way towards us fulfilling our part in helping, challenging and bringing along the church in Austria as we pursue God’s mission to have every nation on earth know Him.
(Purposeful) Prayer Partnership
You can join The Benns Prayer Place (admin only WhatsApp group) if you would like to partner with us in this way. Some current prayer requests are:
- That our residency permit applications will be approved quickly. We hope that we will have a response by the end of September.
- That we will be able to meet our financial partnership target as soon as possible.
- That God will already start preparing conversations and relationships with Christians and non-Christians in Austria.
