A Mini Update

It has been 6 and a half weeks since our appointment at the Austrian Embassy in Pretoria to submit our temporary residence permit applications. It has been in some ways a challenging time navigating the waiting. We are so excited to become part of the OM team in Austria, step into our new roles, join the church family at Linz Baptist and begin learning what it means to be and make disciples in Austria.

We recently emailed the embassy to hear if there are any updates and were informed that our applications are still with the authority in Linz. Alena, the OM Austria Personnel Officer, will enquire from their side as well to see if we can receive a response sooner. We know that this waiting will be worth it, but it’s tough just not knowing.

Praise points:

  • For the time with both our families during this furlough. We are going to miss all our family so much when we do finally leave.
  • The encouragement we keep receiving from partners, OM Austria colleagues, Linz Baptist leadership.
  • That we are still able to live out our purpose of caring for, coaching and encouraging disciple-makers during this in-between time.

Prayer point:

  • An end to the waiting… That a response to our applications will come through soon.
  • Patience and perseverance in the waiting.

We really are so grateful to have you journeying with us. We would love to pray for you too, so please let us know if there are specific things we can bring to God on your behalf.

In His light and love,
Zippy, Dané, Cori and Lily
